Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and The Dry Run Ltd (a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17292097, registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]), trading as Dry Run, when you use the Dry Run app and website. Short version: record yourself, get coached, own your own content, and only record other people with their permission.

1. What Dry Run is

Dry Run is an AI presentation coach. You record or upload a rehearsal take; we transcribe it and use AI to produce a coaching report with scores, observations, evidence from your own words, and practice drills. Every pass includes video review - your take is kept for 30 days so you can watch it back alongside the report, and you can delete it sooner whenever you like.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 and give accurate account details.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app; this permanently removes your recordings, reports and data as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Passes and plans

• Access is sold as passes. Each pass states what it includes: how many presentations you can work on, how many Dry Runs you can record, and when it expires. Video review is included in every pass we currently sell.
• Allowances do not roll over past a pass's expiry, and passes are personal to you and non-transferable.
• Practice drill takes do not count against your Dry Run allowance. Takes that fail to process on our side do not count either - a Single Dry Run pass spent on a failed take is restored automatically.
• We may change plan pricing and composition for future purchases; changes never reduce what a pass you already bought includes.

4. Payments, cancellation and refunds

• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout.
• You have a legal right to cancel an online purchase within 14 days. Because a pass gives you immediate access, at checkout you agree that the service starts straight away; if you cancel within the 14 days having already used part of the pass, we may deduct a proportionate amount for what you used.
• If something went wrong on our side (a take that failed to process, a service fault), tell us at hello@thedry.run and we will put it right or refund the affected use.
• Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

5. Acceptable use

• Record with consent. Dry Run is built for recording yourself. If anyone else is captured in a recording, it is your responsibility to have their permission first.
• Do not upload content that is unlawful, or that you do not have the right to use.
• Do not attempt to probe, overload, reverse-engineer or abuse the service, or use it to build a competing dataset.

6. AI coaching, honestly framed

• Your coaching reports are generated by AI. They are designed to be useful and grounded in your own transcript, but they can be imperfect, incomplete or occasionally wrong.
• Scores are calibrated coaching signals, not objective measurements, and comparisons are against an anonymous pool of other rehearsals.
• Dry Run is a rehearsal tool, not professional advice. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or career advice, and we do not guarantee any outcome from following its coaching.

7. Your content and our service

• You own your recordings, transcripts and the content of your reports. You can download your transcripts and retained videos from the app.
• You give us the permission we need to operate the service: storing, transcribing and analysing your takes to produce your coaching, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your recordings for anything else.
• Anonymous, non-identifying statistics derived from reports feed the benchmark pool that powers comparisons.
• The Dry Run software, design and brand are ours. Buying a pass licenses you to use the service; it transfers no rights in the product.

8. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Dry Run available and improving, but it is provided "as is": we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change or retire features; if a change materially reduces something a live pass depends on, we will make it right for affected passes.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect losses, or for the consequences of decisions you make based on coaching content.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Dry Run and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms; if we do that without cause on our side, we will refund the unused portion of a live pass.

11. The legal frame

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings there). If we update these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the update.
